“All you have to be is you. A phrase comprised of 7 words that come together to be the most powerful statement I have ever heard. It seems too good to be true, right? A place full of empowering women accepting every quark, flaw, and dorky character trait imaginable? Well, that is what I have found in Iota Delta. We were founded on April 28, 1988 at the University of La Verne. Our 12 founding mothers created this organization with such values of sisterhood, leadership potential, scholarship, diversity, inclusivity, and kindness in mind. Since then, 30 years later, we have just strengthened these values. 

I’ve always wanted to surround myself with strong woman to go through life with. I went into college knowing no one, and I had a goal to leave with my best friends for life and future bridesmaids. Because of Iota Delta, I found that. I found a place I can wholeheartedly be myself. I found women who love me unconditionally for who I am, with no judgment. The sisterhood I found in Iota Delta is beyond any friendship I have ever had and will ever have. Sorority is not for a year, it’s for life. A lifetime of endless support, love, and strength
