Iota Delta & Philanthropy
Iota Delta is committed to philanthropy and service both on campus and in the community. Caring for the general wellbeing of communities, Iota Delta supports three philanthropies: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Clothesline Project, and the Latex or No Sex Campaign.
Iota Delta dedicates hard work each year to fundraising, volunteering, and raising awareness for these philanthropies to make a positive impact on the campus and in the community. The sisters of Iota Delta hold these causes close to their hearts and make philanthropy and service to the community a part of their everyday lives.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) is a non-profit organization in the United States which was established in 1955 to provide the means to cure and control Cystic Fibrosis (CF). The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation provides information about Cystic Fibrosis and finances CF research that aims to improve the quality of life for people with the disease. As our main philanthropy, Iota Delta participates in the Great Strides Walk, 24-Hour Jump-a-thon and holds an annual bowling event, known as the Bowl for Breath, to raise money for the CF Foundation and awareness of Cystic Fibrosis.
The Clothesline Project (CLP) is a national program started in 1990 to address the issue of violence against women. It is a vehicle for women who have been affected by violence to express their emotions through the decorating of a shirt. The shirts are hung on a clothesline to be seen by others as a testimony to the issue of violence against women. This project is a powerful tool to help survivors break the silence that embodied her experience.
Iota Delta holds an annual Clothesline Project at the University of La Verne campus to raise awareness about the various types of violence against women, and to rally support for the women who have endured such acts of violence in their lives. Both men and women alike are welcome to decorate shirts; it brings a sense of togetherness in the mission of creating awareness.

Iota Delta's Latex or No Sex Campaign was established at the University of La Verne to promote safe sex on and off the college campus. The women of Iota Delta take part in this campaign to help raise awareness about sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy. Using a latex helps prevent those possibilities.
